  • Tap the scan button on the home screen to activate deal scanning. offa will use your location to find active deals from nearby businesses and notify you when one is available. Make sure location permissions are enabled for offa in your phone's settings.

  •   A few things to check:

      - Location permissions are set to "While Using" or "Always" in your phone settings

      - You have at least one deal type selected in your preferences

      - There are active businesses running deals in your area

      - You haven't already reached your 3 deal slots for a particular type — check the Deals tab to see your available slots

  • Always-on mode lets offa scan for nearby deals passively in the background, even when the app is closed. You'll see a notification while it's running so you always know it's active. You can turn it on or off from the home screen. It uses more battery than standard scanning.

  • Once you've claimed a deal, go to the Deals tab and tap the deal to view your redemption code. Show this to the business when you visit. After your visit, you'll be asked to confirm it — this unlocks your slot for future deals.

  • Visit confirmation helps keep offa fair for everyone. Once you confirm, your deal slot is freed up so you can claim new deals. You can also leave an optional rating and spend amount — this helps businesses understand how their deals are performing.

  • You can hold up to 3 active deals per deal type (e.g. 3 restaurant deals, 3 retail deals) at a time. Once you confirm a visit, that slot opens back up.

  • Make sure you've visited the business and had the code scanned or shown to staff. If you're still having trouble, contact us using the form below with your account email and the business name.

  • Go to Profile → Settings → Close Account. Your personal details will be anonymised immediately. If you have any issues, contact us using the form below.

  • For now, please contact us via the form below to register your interest in joining our pilot. Once the pilot is complete, we will have a verification process to ensure your business is legitimate.

  • Once your business is active, tap "Create an offa" from the business home screen. You can build a deal manually or use offaAI to generate one based on your business type and history. Set your deal details, radius, and time window, then publish.

  • offaAI uses your business type and deal history to suggest an optimised deal — including a title, message, discount, radius, and time window. It's a starting point you can edit before publishing.

  • When creating a deal you can set a radius (in metres) that determines how far away a consumer needs to be to receive a notification. The right radius depends on your location — a busy high street might need a smaller radius than a standalone venue.

  • The business dashboard shows live stats for each deal including how many people were notified, how many redeemed, how many confirmed their visit, average rating, and total reported spend.

  • Yes. You can register multiple businesses under the same account. If you have more than one location you can also create a location group to run campaigns across all of them at once.

  • A campaign lets you push the same deal to all locations in a group simultaneously. This is useful if you want to run a promotion across your entire chain rather than managing each location separately.

  • Go to your business page and tap Team. From there you can invite team members by email. Staff members can view your business and active deals but cannot create or modify deals.

  • offa has a free tier with a limited number of deals per month. Plus and Premium plans are available for higher volume. You can view and manage your plan from the business tab.

  • Go to Profile → Subscription → Cancel Plan. Your plan will remain active until the end of your current billing period. Cancellations are handled via Stripe — if you have any issues contact us using the form below.
